Joyce Country & Western Lakes UNESCO Global Geopark is currently renewing its Tourism Strategy!

Survey for local tourism strategy

Dear Community Representatives / Community Council Members,

I hope you are all well as we head into summer.

Joyce Country & Western Lakes UNESCO Global Geopark is currently renewing its Tourism Strategy, and we would like to hear directly from local communities to help shape its future direction.

So, we will be hosting three in-person community consultation meetings in the coming few weeks and would greatly appreciate if *at least two representatives from your community could attend*. Representatives are welcome to attend *any or all of the meetings*.

*All meetings from 7pm–8pm:*

– 16th June – The Convent, Ballinrobe (F31 T667)

– 23rd June – Clonbur Community Centre (F12 T9P7)

– 25th June – Maam Community Centre (H91 W635)

I have attached the consultation meeting flyer and would appreciate it if you could share it with your members and wider community. I have also included a link to our online survey here <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1pcXgGMWb3ZW9pMo6UjY3iCdwts1k4n1YOp9WMNNhBwY/edit?usp=sharing_eip&ts=6a19b871>, which can be completed by anyone who is unable to attend a meeting or who would like to provide additional feedback for the strategy.  

These meetings are an opportunity to share your views, ideas, and experiences of tourism's contribution to community development in your area and help ensure that local voices are reflected in the new strategy.

We would really value your input and support, if you have any further questions please do get in touch.

Please reply by email who will attend from your community at least a day before each of the meetings.
